Books
Tendril Books is the project of Ruby Lewis, an artist, bookbinder, and publisher from Vancouver, British Columbia.
She is currently attending North Bennet St. School in Boston for bookbinding.
Her focus is on creating tactile and inviting book works that celebrate the book as object.
She is inspired by architecture and its interactions with light and shadow, paper, collage, and the specificity of words.
Some of her favourite ideas to explore and express are Realms, Love, Grief, Fate, Magic, Pain.
Ruby finds her joy of making at the intersection of art and craft, with interest and investment in the worlds of book arts, printmaking, sewing/textile, & papermaking.
She thinks books should be held and hopes you can hold one of her books one day if you are so inclined.
